1947 Limited Edition from Vertu Launched
Vertu, Luxury mobile phone maker has announced the launch of its limited edition Ascent Ferrari 1947 mobile phone at an event in Mumbai. To commemorate the 60th year Anniversary celebration of Ferrari, Vertu worked closely with Ferrari’s design team to develop this exclusive limited edition phone. In fact, just 1947 pieces of this particular model will ever be made. Each of the phones are numbered from 1 to 1947.
According to Vertu, the Limited Edition handset uses hand-polished Titanium for the chassis, while drawing inspiration from Ferrari GT cars. The bezel nose on the front of the phone features the Prancing Horse while, on the rear back plate, there’s a scaled-down Ferrari brake pedal in high-grade aluminum. The Vertu Ascent Ferrari 1947 Limited Edition is handbuilt in the UK. The phone is available from Vertu’s own outlets as well as more than 370 of the finest watch, jewellery and department stores across 48 countries. While the phone is available in stores pan-India, it carries a prohibitive price — Rs 3.89 lakhs.
