Anand Jon

Anand JonAnand Jon Alexander ) is a former fashion designer turned convicted serial rapist who had previously appeared on America’s Next Top Model and rose to fame in the fashion industry prior to being convicted of several counts of sexual abuse. Indian fashionista Anand Jon was sentenced to 59 years in prison by a California court on Monday for sexually assaulting seven young women and girls even as his family in India railed against the US criminal justice system, accusing it of racial bias.

Jon was arrested in March 2007, in Beverly Hills, on rape and related charges, based on the allegations of numerous aspiring models, including committing a lewd conduct on a minor. Later, the prosecutor added 15 additional felony counts as the investigation expanded. Jon was sentenced to 59 years to life in Los Angeles on August 31, 2009. The counts range from first-degree forcible rape to the rape of a minor. Jon also still faces charges in Texas and Massachusetts.
