The 2009 US Open will be held from Monday, August 31 through Sunday, September 13 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. Sania Mirza has entered the second round in the mixed doubles and women’s doubles events of the US Open. The 2009 U.S. Open Squash Championship boasts six of the World’s Top Ten players. This year’s field is poised to showcase squash’s best athletes on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. Sania Mirza had lost her singles journey in the US Open after she was defeated in the second round by 10th seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta on 2nd September.

They will play against Gisela Dulko and Shahar Peer in the second round of the US Open. The Indian tennis player had lost to the Italian by a 6-0, 6-0 in a grossly asymmetrical match.
