Kashmir University

The Kashmir University is one of the premier universities in India. The seeds of first university in Kashmir ware planted immediately after India gained its independence from British. The university has evolved from basic education provider in valley to full fledged university offering courses in various streams. it was in 1956 the university was established, reorganized and was granted its status. The faculties are Arts, Languages, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Commerce, Law, Medicine, Dental Surgery, Engineering, Music and Fine Arts and Non-formal Education.
